T-209 is a heavy-duty land drilling rig originally built in 1980 and refurbished in 2007, designed for drilling operations up to 20,000 ft (6,096 m). The rig features a Discovery cantilever mast, 2,000 HP drawworks, Varco TDS-4S top drive (590 t / 650 ton hoisting capacity), and a 1,300,000 lb (590 t) hook load, providing reliable performance for a wide range of drilling applications. Powered by five Caterpillar 3512B engines and equipped with three 1,600 HP mud pumps, the rig combines proven drilling capability with upgraded systems, including a skidding substructure, advanced mud processing equipment, and a 10,000 psi BOP system, making it a dependable asset for onshore drilling operations.
